This painting was commissioned a lovely couple from Denver, Colorado, where it now resides.

I went out to Clahane with the couple Rob and Kathy to decide on the vantage point for the painting. They pointed out to me that they loved the kink in the road as it passed over the hill and the way the grass grew in the middle of the road. I went out to the location a few times in the hope of catching a tractor driving along this stretch, but it wasn't to be...so with a bit of artistic license the painting was formulated. Just over that brow of the hill by the way is one of my most favorite places in Ireland, it's a little rocky in-let where you can snorkel among the reefs and the fish that live there.
